In the past, purchasing and supply management was considered a clerical task. With the widespread of supply chain management concept, the perception has changed and modern purchasing and supply management is viwed a strategic weapon that helps to connect various members in supply chain together. Formulating good purchasing strategies is not as easy as it looks. To do this, I've conduct extensive literature review about purchasing and supply management.
The implications of literature review are that we can benchmark our practices and we can also identify areas of improvement. After that, I've found 3 outstanding articles by Trent and Monczka 1998, Carter et al 2006 and Schoenherr et al 2011. The results of these literature reviews are presented in this animated presentation.
